PrayerCenter

In the Bible it tells us that God loved the world so much that he gave His only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16. God loves us. His motive in making us was that we should get to know Him, come to love Him and to enjoy his company. When we talk to God or listen to Him, with our head and our heart; then this is prayer.

Prayer is one of the most important activities for all Christians. In prayer we communicate with God and share with him our praise and adoration, our own needs and the needs of others. Prayer is the exercise of faith and hope. Prayer is the privilege of drawing near to God. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:6-7

PRAYER IS NOT A METHOD – IT IS A WAY OF LIFE

Here at St Augustines Church we have a number of opportunities as a group of people to meet with God in prayer. We have two prayer groups that meet regularly to pray for the needs of our church and for the needs of others. We also have a group of people who receive prayer requests via a Coordinator and who pray with total confidentiality. This group will pray for a prayer request that you submit on this website.
